Dr. Nanika Coor, Psy. D.

Dr. Nanika Coor (she/her) is a Brooklyn-based clinical psychologist and respectful parenting therapist. She helps overwhelmed parents break harmful intergenerational cycles and build more connected, compassionate relationships with their kids—no punishments, no yelling, just real talk and healing. Dr. Coor started her private practice in 2018 after working in community mental health and has been passionate about making therapy a space where Black families feel seen, supported, and empowered ever since. She gets that your parents might not always get you—and she works with them to change that.
